EXPERIENCING PRAIRIE LIGHTS GRAND PRAIRIE TX AS A SINGLE MOM

Prairie Lights Grand Prairie

For years I’ve intended to go to Prairie Lights at Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, but somehow, I would always forget. Jailah and I went for the first time last week, And I now am sure we’ve been missing out on the most popular North Texas holiday attraction all these years!

Prairie Lights is a two-mile, drive-through holiday park experience, situated along the shores of Joe Pool Lake, that features a stunning display of more than four million lights (arranged in hundreds of scenes throughout the park) and other holiday activities.

Below I will share with you three reasons why you must visit Prairie Lights this winter!

Fun for the Whole Family

There’ just something so magical about lights during the holidays. You will fall in love with each display throughout the park. You will find displays in shapes of all kinds. The line and arch over your route throughout the two-mile-long park experience. This is such a fantastic place to visit altogether and make new traditions with the whole family. Whether you have small kids or big ones, you all can get cozy in the car. Turn on the heater, tune your radio to some Christmas music, and windows down to enjoy this magical experience.

Multiple Attractions

To be honest, I thought that I would drive through the lights, and that was all there was to do here. I was amazed when halfway through the drive, we came across the Holiday Village. This is an out-of-car experience. We got to enjoy carnival rides and shopping, as well as hot cocoa, funnel cakes, and corn dogs.

-Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Thru Forest: Stroll through an enchanting forest of thousands of lights depicting Christmas scenes from around the world. Included in the cost of admission.

-Photos with Santa: Santa will be at the Holiday Village every night through Dec. 23, listening to holiday wishes and taking pictures with kids of all ages. Pricing begins at $15.

It’s a perfect way to end your Holiday Lights Experience at the Prairie Lights!

Allow plenty of time (at least 45 minutes on slower nights, and up to three hours on high traffic nights) to enjoy the park, especially on holidays and weekends fully. Longer wait times are particularly anticipated from 12/13 – 12/25. I will highly suggest to PRE-PURCHASE your tickets online
