MY SIGNATURE BUN LOOK WITH A TOUCH OF SELENA

Today is Selena’s Birthday!

Selena Quintanilla LookThis weekend my daughter and I watched the Selena movie.
It’s fantastic to see the effect that her legacy still has on kids these days.

We’ve watched her movie before and also listen to her songs all the time.
For some reason, my daughter was wholly invested in her movie this time, and she cried at the end.

All weekend she kept saying, why did Selena die.
Questions we still ask til this day.

To honor her on her birthday, I wanted to create a look similar to her iconic looks. Read more

MY FIRST SMOKEY-ISH EYE LOOK

It’s no secret that my safe place when it comes to makeup is warm colors.

I have always admired makeup artists and people that create smokey eyes.
Mainly when they use black eye shadow.

Neutrogena #Neverbetter

They say that as a makeup lover, you shouldn’t be scared to experience outside of your comfort zone.
I wish it were a lot easier for me to incorporate more smokey eye looks.

Finally, I decided to give it a try.

I went for it and created a light smokey eye look.

For 2018 I am making some beauty resolutions.
Now the big goal is to be able to stick to the resolutions all year long.

You all know I have been dealing with acne all year long.
I must confess I did pretty good creating and maintaining a beauty routine all year long.
Honestly, it was a bit challenging, especially when you’re exhausted, or if you love to sleep like me.

For 2018 I want to improve my beauty routine even more by setting up some resolutions.

It’s no surprise that I love colorful lipsticks.
While strolling through Ross, I came across a package from NYX with some lip glosses.
The package came with 3 Intense Butter Glosses for $6.99.
Now you know I couldn’t pass this fantastic offer. Usually, each lipstick is around that price for just one.

I was instantly captivated by a specific shade on the package.
I’m sure you know by now how much I luffffff bright lipsticks.

MAKEUP LOOK FOR ANY THANKSGIVING GET TOGETHER

Thanksgiving make up look

We are officially so close to the end of the year.

How did this happen?

We are only a few days away from Thanksgiving, which means we get to celebrate togetherness with our loved ones.
Also, this holiday calls for a good makeup look to create to sit at the sala (the living room) ????

I grew up in Mexico, so honestly, we don’t celebrate the day so much as people that are born in the US.

Of course, I have to establish some of the US cultures into my daughter’s life and celebrate Thanksgiving, so we celebrate small.

I must also confess I don’t like Turkey!

FEELING THE BLUES

Because for the past week, I’ve been feeling the blues.

Because for the past week, I’ve been feeling the blues.
I recently came across a look similar to the one I recreated on this post.
I have never mentioned this, but Linda Hallberg is my favorite make up guru! All of her looks are daring, amazing, clean, and everything that you can think with the word extraordinary.

Strolling through her website recently, I came across one of her daring looks, and it just totally spoke to me.

FALLING FOR COPPER

Welcome to fall.
Although in Texas we are still having summer-ish temperatures, we’ve had a couple of cold days.
People in Texas may say I’m exaggerating, but I just really don’t like cold weather.
I would rather deal with heat than cold.
Fall brings out all the copper-ish colors, which is the inspiration behind this make up look.

Merry Independence day to all my Mexican people!

If you didn’t know I was born in Mexico City, and today Septemeber 16
we celebrate our Independence day.

Growing up I remember my parents taking us to El Centro (historic center of Mexico, City) almost each year to celebrate independence day.
Now this is an actual holiday we celebrate and not 5 De Mayo!

MAKE UP LOOK FOR YOUR NEXT INFLUENCER CONFERENCE + TIPS

As I’m getting ready to head over to Hispanicize Texas, in Houston Texas I decided to put together this make up look
Hispanicize Texas 2017 I’m so excited that a big influencer conference/event is being held in Texas, as we all know, most of conferences like this always happen either in Los Angeles, Miami or New York.

I’ve been so lucky to attend a few conference in L.A, but I was more behind the scenes since I was volunteering, this time I will not be volunteering and it feels a little weird, because I like the craziness that goes on behind the scenes, the preparation and making sure everything is top notch for everyone to experience.
